RESUMEN: La transformación digital en la sociedad presenta nuevos retos y
oportunidades. Entre dichos retos se encuentra la posibilidad que exista una ver-
dadera accesibilidad universal a la información a través de herramientas digitales
que se basen en sistemas de inteligencia artificial. Proyectos como por ejemplo,
el metaverso de Facebook, son una oportunidad de crear entornos virtuales en
los que se realicen transacciones entre personas de una manera no imaginada
anteriormente en la historia de la humanidad. Pero dichos proyectos que facilita-
rán la accesibilidad electrónica a todos los colectivos de personas, no está exenta
de riesgos tecnológicos y legales. Respecto a los riesgos legales destacamos en
el presente artículo a modo de reflexión personal los que serán más importantes
para el futuro de la sociedad en entornos digitales. Por un lado los riesgos pro-
pios de los sistemas de inteligencia artificial que produzcan efectos indeseables
en los derechos y libertades de las personas, como por ejemplo la manipulación
del comportamiento las personas de colectivos más vulnerables o con discapaci-
dad. O también los riesgos inherentes a la privacidad que están intrínsecamente
ligados al tratamiento que se haga de los datos personales en dichos sistemas.

ABSTRACT: The digital transformation in society presents new challenges and
opportunities. Among these challenges is the possibility that there is a true uni-
versal accessibility to information through digital tools that are based on artificial
intelligence systems. Projects such as the metaverse of Facebook, are an oppor-
tunity to create virtual environments in which transactions are carried out between
people in a way not previously imagined in the history of mankind. But these
projects that will facilitate electronic accessibility to all groups of people, is not ex-
empt from technological and legal risks. Regarding legal risks, we highlight in this
article as a personal reflection those that will be most important for the future of
society in digital environments. On the one hand, the risks of artificial intelligence
systems that produce undesirable effects on the rights and freedoms of people,
such as the manipulation of the behavior of people from the most vulnerable or
disabled groups. Or also the risks inherent to privacy that are intrinsically linked to
the treatment that is made of personal data in AI systems.
