Abstract: The global employment strategy of the disabled people (2008-2012) has been a process of social and civil dialogue supported by the Government and the disability sector -the CERMI- trying to deal with a deep change in the legal framework of the employment of the disabled people. After a critical evaluation of the genesis and the key steps in the process, we deal with the accomplishments and the attempts of reform made during its validity. In this respect, we analyze the general scope initiatives, like the developing of a law of social and labour inclusion; the development of a revised text of the general existing laws -both failed attempts- or the far-fetched changes suffered by the regulations of the employment for disabled people after the approval of the Royal Decree-Law 3 /2011...
