From the industrial citizenship to the industrious citizenship

Abstract: “The article departs from the apparent word game between “industrial citizenship” and “industrious” as a way to show the shift of the typical social figure of the waged producers to a different situation to take shape, because at first work created the citizenship conditions, now the citizenship status must create the work, form a more global condition which recompose a broken and unequally protected unemployment. Through this the text examines all the structure of the Labour Law from its origins, paying special attention to the Italian case, in which we highlight its more remarkable features as a commitment right and a border right. The demand of a work without any adjectives as an axis of citizenship and democratic condition joins to a critical consideration of the legislative and ideological processes which have conditioned its regulation, and specifically, those which have been implemented from the austerity policies against the crisis.

The social clause foundations in free trade agreement signed by the EU and Canada (CETA)

Abstract: The Free Trade Agreement CETA proposes a model of decent work and the labor conditions will not suffer a setback precisely following the increase trade and investments filed the Free Trade Agreement, but are not enough guarantees. Otherwise, the rejection of broad social sectors to this Free Trade Agreement precludes its conclusion. This event proceeding of irrelevant labor provisions of these treaties because, merely require compliance with international commitments on labor, which labor standards are not attractive such as an acceptable social reference in the European Union.
